Our name means “Instead of,” inspired by the Chinese word liu (流), symbolizing the natural flow of water, and the French word l’eau, meaning water itself.

A family heritage

Our story begins in the Ta-Pieh Mountains, where our family discovered a natural artesian water source beneath volcanic rocks. For generations, this pure, mineral-rich water has been a part of our lives—a hidden gem we’ve always cherished. We knew it was something special, and we felt it was time to share it with the world.

Bred in Hong Kong and deeply connected to the city’s vibrant energy, we were inspired to reflect its boldness and forward-thinking spirit in what we create.
